Travelotopos’ mission is to help businesses work easier and increase their revenue by using our technology. Central to this mission is our commitment to be transparent about the data we collect about them, how it is used and with whom it is shared.
Our clients (businesses) use our systems as online booking engines for their websites and for reservations from other sales channels (website, OTAs, Affiliates, resellers). Some of them use additional services/features of our systems (full package) and manage their services, their reservations and their human resources. For security reasons each client (business) has a different data base which is accessible only from their registered users.
Data We Collect
Online reservation procedure
Guests of third party websites are asked to give personal data in order to complete their online reservations. The data they are asked to give are upon the administrator – controller of the system.
Data given automatically
There are many instances that we get data automatically. Such data are: IP address, type of device, location, date and time of accessing our system, pages that are visited and clicked, from which website someone came to our system, browser that is used, software that is used in the device or computer.
Data given from other sources
Travelotopos’ booking engines are integrated with other websites (online wholesalers, Online Travel Agents, etc) who are giving data about completed reservations. The data are used from controllers (administrators) for managing purposes.
Data we share with others
Travelotopos shares the above personal data with third party systems for basic purposes of completing an online reservation. For example, we use a third party mail provider for security reasons (to avoid emails going to spam). Our systems are cloud and we use hosting services of Amazon.com . In addition in some instances we share data with third party systems for managing or accounting purposes of the controller (administrator). Also we share data with banks and online payment gateways for successful secure transactions.
Why does Travelotopos collect and share data?
1. Online Reservations: First and foremost, we collect on behalf of our clients personal data to complete the online Trip Reservation, which is basically central to what we do as a company.
2. Accounting purposes: Since we are a SAAS system and we get paid from each successful reservation we collect data and we calculate the agreed fee per reservation.
3. Statistics: We use these data end for statistical purposes on behalf of our clients.
For how long does Travelotopos keep data in file?
Travelotopos keeps data in file for one year after the date, data were given. After this period Travelotopos destroys these data.
What measures has Travelotopos taken to keep data safe and secure?
Travelotopos observes reasonable procedures to prevent unauthorised access to, and the misuse of, personal data.
We use appropriate business systems and procedures to protect and safeguard the personal data our clients updates in our system We also use security procedures and technical and physical restrictions for accessing and using the personal data on our servers. Only authorized personnel are permitted to access personal data in the course of their work.
